Futaba 8FG crow/flap question

I am currently using an SD-10g on a 4 servo wing. I can't say I am completely happy with the feel and switch layout (porcupine) of the 10. I am looking into the futaba 8FG and have a question on crow/flap/flaperons mixing.

Here is what I have set up on the 10 and would like to emulate it with the 8fg if possible.

Flap on stick.
100% (stick up): flaps/ailerons up
85% - 25% proportional full span flaps (flaps + flaperons)
<25% crow. Flaps down, ailerons up

Can I do it with the 8FG?

Thanks!

I haven't done this but I believe it is very easy using a combination of two tricks:
First, the crow function has a configurable deadband -- you can define the first 25% of stick travel to do nothing.
Second, you can assign camber to whatever switch/lever you want -- in each mode. So for landing mode just put camber on the stick and set the travel to give the range you want in 25% stick.

You'll have camber adding/subtracting to your crow thru the whole range but you can adjust the crow volumes accordingly.

The 8FG does have two major shortcomings with sailplanes that you should be aware of:
- Snap flap cannot be adjusted in flight
- Aileron differential and ail-rud mix cannot be adjusted in flight

Thanks

It sounds like I may need to get my hands on one to figure out.

I could then program the crow to override the camber of the ailerons?

Are there mixing curves available for crow settings?

AFAIK there is no mix curves for the crow (butterfly) but free mixers have the curves so you can do that, full span flaps for 25-85% and crow for the last 25%, with the curves. There is only 5 free mixers so I suggest that you use butterfly mixer for the flaps and two free mixers for the ailerons (or one mixer with link - or + option).

It looks like it may be possible. I have been looking at the manual. But I know how those things can be. Experimentation is the key I think.
