Samba 36 52 Vs hacker b40 FAI
Does anybody know if the kontronic samba 36 52 fits in a avionik D99. (I have read the web page but I can't get the sizes as the site link comes up wrong).
If the samba does fit in a avionik D99 does anyone know how it compares to the hacker b40 FAI motor.
Is the carbon can on the hacker really of any detectable benefit eg if you are a good pilot would you get better results spending else where as there is not that much of a noticeable differance between a b40 FAI or a b40 long 6 turn.
has anyone any quantifiable information on the best esc/ motor for a club / sport flier who may want to compete.

My understanding of the B40-FAI is that it is an in-between size of the Hacker motors. The carbon case will be lighter and sometimes 5 grams can make a difference for surface laoding issues, not so much performance.
For the Samba, they do not have this motor ready for production yet. You would have to contact Motor Mike for more info.
For controllers, I have used both the Kontronik 3SL-70FAI and the Jeti Hacker Master-77. Both have been very reliable.
