Twisted Hobbys MXS-C Mini - AWESOMENESS

OFFICIAL MXS-C MINI BUILD THREAD

Presenting the new MXS-C Mini! Almost a year in development, the new mini version of the awesome MXS-C takes all the insane fun, quickness, response, and precision of the larger MXS and brings it to you in a smaller package. Just like the Crack Yak Mini took the industrial strength feel of the original Crack Yak on 3S and brought it to smaller flying venues, and the Crack Pitts Mini turned the insanity of a 3S Crack Pitts up to 11, the MXS-C Mini takes all the best attributes of the larger aircraft and boils them down to a quick, go-to flying experience for any flying site, indoors or out.

Far from just a scaled down version of the MXS-C, the MXS-C Mini has had everything re-evaluated. Fuselage construction, wing planform, and control surfaces have all been tweaked to deliver the same performance in a smaller package. Compared to the Crack Yak Mini and Crack Pitts Mini, the MXS-C Mini is the fastest, stiffest feeling, and due to the optimized wing and fuselage shape, can also fly the slowest. If you are a fan of the larger MXS-C or any of our current mini series, you will feel right at home with this one!

Specs:

Wing span – 24” / Length – 25”
AUW 90 - 100g
Required components:

2000-2350kV Out-runner motor (12g – 14g)

4.0g servo
Prop: 6x3 to 7x3.5 GWS DD

So this is going to be our little spot to have a build thread and discuss this brand new release. This is one AWESOME new Cody Wojcik design that will not disappoint.

BUILD MANUAL:

http://www.twistedhobbys.com/media/M...al%20v003a.pdf

The manual for this plane has been created by CDee. And, once again it is fantastic. This is my first build thread and I could never hope to achieve the same level of detail and logic as the manual. You will definitely want to build with the manual. I have built a lot of the planes from Twisted Hobbys and I may deviate from the techniques and order of operations that are recommended. I hope it may add some insight and maybe help with repairs or something else down the road. Therefore, the build thread here is just an example of my build and how it went. Having said that, man... this plane flies great. It tracks very nice and snaps clean like a larger plane (like a much larger plane at that). It's the best mini ever and we all hope you enjoy these little gems! Thanks to Brad, Cody, CDee, Benton (and his Dad) and everyone at Twisted for the support. Finally, Happy Holidays to all our Twisted Friends out there. There will be more video very soon!!!

Twisted Hobbys MXS-C-Mini (3 min 49 sec)

I will replace this when I get a new laptop and install the new software but for now it's all I could do with what I had to work with. Sorry guys but there will be more. Software crash caused havoc here and working to get it straight but it will cost a bit. Hoping for help come Christmas :*)

Hey Guys,

What a thrill! This plane has endless fun behind it! I really enjoy the way this plane flies, everything is fitted together so well, and the outcome is a little rocket ship. Here are some of the MANY things I love about this plane.

-Ballistic roll rate. ( I have mine turned down a lot!)
-Endless amount of vertical/power even on the 2 cell system
-Quick response of these amazing digital servos!
-Knife edge is just about hands off.
-Wide speed range ( I enjoy in the middle )

I could go on forever about the great features of this model. Well done Cody! Check out this amazing model at...

Green: http://www.twistedhobbys.com/TH-24-E...XS-C-Green.htm
Yellow: http://www.twistedhobbys.com/TH-24-E...S-C-Yellow.htm

Looking forward to seeing how you guys like this plane!

You guys are going to love this. It really hits all the same notes as the big MXS, as well as the CYM. Fast, quick, compact, and fun!

Here a shot coming by knife edge to show the wing area.
Cody
You sure do know how to design a great airframe!

Note not much rudder needed in Knife Edge

Sounds perfect! The MXS, CY(L,M) are truly amazing planes.

I believe I will order the yellow/blue one. The color scheme is very nice and it suits my nationality .

Cheers,
Leif

I think I'm only person on here who never loves his CYM; probably because it has warped in strange ways. I can bend it straight before flying but never love it like I do the full size CY.

I am going to get one of these and transfer the CYM electronics. I don't have the 32" MXS so it will add variety to my Twisted hangar!

But what colour scheme? They're all great ....

Great to hear your going to pull the trigger on this one, Kam! You won't be disappointed. She is fun. I have video already but can't edit it yet because gotta update the build. Indoor is tomorrow though. Probably add some indoor to the outdoor video and drop it tomorrow night if all goes well.
