Help!
DX6i Setup on 4 Channel Fixed Pitch

Hello all,

Hoping someone could help me out.

I have a 500 size fixed pitch helicopter.
When I lift off, the forward and backwards cyclics are reversed.
Meaning, When I push up on the control stick, the heli wants to go backwards instead of forwards and when I push down on the right stick, the heli will go forward.

Is this a setting issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

Ill be honest and say I dont know how to do it on that controller as I don't have one myself but a quick look in the manual should find the settings. If you dont have the manual it can be downloaded here.

Who makes a 500 class fixed pitch copter? I'd be interested in that.

Most digital radios have a pretty clearly labeled reverse function screen where it will show each control and you just click it to reverse it. It's an absolute necessity on all radios so it's there somewhere.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I finally figured it out, I had to reverse the pitch servo in my TX and all is good now.

I have a couple pics here of my helicopter.
It is a Multiplex Funcopter. It can be easily modified.
I purchased the ARF version for $169 and I added my own electronics.

3 HS82MG Servos
ESC
BEC
GY401
3S 2200 Mah Battery
Orange RX

And, I am using a DX6i for my TX

Yes, that is different.

If anyone finds a closeup picture of the swashplate and blades, please post.

By the way, the blades have a function of collapsing upwards or downwards during a crash.
This helicopter is known for being resilient and can withstand a crash pretty well.
The only issue I hear about so far is the gears in the tail can strip easily if you have a tail strike.
But, they cost like $9 to replace I believe.
I purchased a modified Fun-copter from a member here (AtTheCross)
He modified the tail to a belt drive with a 500 class boom. I unfortunately crashed it right when I got it cause I rushed to get it in the air without having my TX setup properly.
So, I since bought this ARF version on eBay for $169.99 and transferred over all the electronics over to this from the damaged one.
I had a friend setup my TX this time, I haven't flown her yet.
He hovered it and made sure everything was setup correctly.
Now, I think I will just try to hover her at the field when it gets nice here.
If anyone's interested, check out AtTheCross profile and he has a bunch of vids of it flying with his mods. He helped me a ton and he use to have the site www.funcoptermods.com

This heli has a top forward flight speed of 30mph, I hope I can get good enough to fly her in fast circuits.

alasas - Great photos. Thankyou.

I'll be studying those for a few hours. Really nice detail.

Swashplates and links are absolutely like nothing I've seen before.
