Thank you Chris for your kind words.
I'm an aspiring pilot and me that is important.
This is the first flight, I felt the plane with 15 grams 250 ма battery.
(Turnigi 160 ма 30 с - very bad)
The flight was without air brakes and spoilers.
Soon I'll put hyperion 130 mA, air brakes, spoilers.
You will see a new result.

Very impressive!

That video is fascinating, I've probably watched it a dozen times now! It almost looks as if the plane is flying underwater - so slow and graceful !

Thank you for your kind words.
I was very helpful communication with Donatas,
Large aircraft and small weight make it easy to fly.
All I do is not a commercial project.
I'm ready to tell how to make such an airplane.
I have no secrets.
I will be flying in competitions in Byelorussia and Russia.
Go to European competition is very desirable.

I've looked at the pictures here, but I don't quite see how the apparently carbon fiber rods are connected together into the structure.

Are they simply glued together with some epoxy at the joints?

One trick in such a design would seem to be how to make many extremely light but strong accurate joints that don't interfere with the covering material.

Thanks for your sharing!

I'm wondering about the little prop on the rudder. Is that for a drag brake?

metrorcflying

My name is Keith Paskewitz and I fly a 4 ounce IFO with rudder control and side area added. It can do many great maneuvers.
I am very interested in building a plane like yours.
Where can I purchase 3 micron lavsan and what sizes of carbon fiber rods do you use?
Thank you,
Keith
PS
See my IFO at http://www.metrorcflying.com/metro_indoor-flying.htm
The video is partway down on the page.

You fly very well. Have you crashed your new model yet? Does the carbon just flex and bend or does it tend to break? I'm new to indoor and durabilty is still important. Epp takes crash damage well, but it's heavier. Your model is so light that it should survive low speed crashes better. I like slow flying models because they make it easier for me to fly the maneuvers.

Thank you for your time

Michael
