what can I say. I feel like I owe you money for the 15min for the scenic tour in your piper cub. !!!that felt so real !. the pan movement is smooth and jitter free and the side views are stunning.
The landing was sweet all you needed was a runway to land on to give you the full impression .
I stuck glued to the monitor the whole 14 mins.
great flight , great achievement and you should feel proud of yourself.
that was payback time for the initial troubles you had at first

Plus one!!

I honestly felt like that was footage taken from inside the cabin of a real plane.

I think next flight, you need to get some audio from inside a real cub and dub that audio over the video footage to give it an even more realistic feel.

Someone needs to get footage like that from a 3D GoPro and sell it to IMAX (imax is a large cinema that specialises in 3D documentaries ect as seen here: http://www.imax.com.au/home/ )

Thanks for the flight!

I added 20" to the stock apprentice wing and am now ready to summit a nearby peak when the weather cooperates. Got to survive winds@ 16,000ft and make the 10 mile round trip. Here is a test flight with the 80" wing on the apprentice 15e.

That was a fantastic flight, loved every minute of it. Very immersive, I thought it was cool that you could pan around backwards and see into the tail of your plane. Nicely done!

RCSchim reports back...

hi guys, sorry for not visiting here lately!
2012 so far had not too many FPV flights but season will start soon. I had some testflights however, one of them with my new MPX EasyStar 2.
This is a great - super simple FPV platform - highly reccomended!

On this flight I had just a FOXTECH FPV Cam with downlink video (recorded on Laptop with USB framegrabber). Can anyone show better video quality from an analogue video source? I'm quite impressed with the outcome - but I'll use a HD cam soon - makes video cutting easier and vid looks better...
EasyStar II - simple FPV setup, great high soaring in the mountains (3 min 17 sec)

Visit my blog for details about Plane / Setup and tips on deinterlacing...

greetings,
RCSchim

Thanks. I would like to put a doll in there with a moving control stick and throttle for the full scale experience. Just trying to figure how to fit it all in and be able to put the battery in as well.

Haha, yea, I wanted to show that the vid Tx, long range Rx and GPS are all inside the plane along with the GoPro2 and they all play well together even though they are within inches of one another

Last summer me and GGtronic was at a Funfly at the club Mars near Montreal. I flown there with my CAP232. A keychain HD camera was install on the tail of the plane giving a very good point of view of the FPV cam in the cockpit.

The panning of the FPV cam is control via a headtracker. I look at the wing tip oftenly during aerobatic to align the wing with the horizon, so I'm sure the plane is vertical if it's I want to do.

Festivol du club MARS (3 min 21 sec)

p.s: I got two CAP232 FPV. This one is very basic with only a camera, no dashboard. The other is the one with a dashboard and a figurine fully articulated
