You asked to see a V8, here is Hull# 1 and #2 from a USA Builder.

Does anyone know who the USA V8 builder is? I know several skippers who would like to purchase V8s

The only listed builders at present are in New Zealand. A USA builder is new news!!

Yes I have heard that, but does any one know of any one who has gotten theirs yet. Its not like the BP that nearly every page on this thread a new BP was getting delivered

Last i had heard talking with Grant Lane was that he was was having an issue with his hull mould, Mike Garden had his first 3 boats just on finishing and that a 3rd builder had been added in NZ.
Have had mine for 2 months ,and can say the boat is very quick.

Some pictures of the new Croation IOM that's going to be used at the very soon Europeans sure is an ugly boat how would you like to refit those front deck patches when there wet!

Application of patches using mild soapy water will do the trick.

I'm talking about when it's hissing with rain by the lake side and the patch has had to come off for some reason .

where can I get some hull access cover patch material that will work well on an IOM?. the stuff I have now is stick-on and it gets stuck on so well that removing it is a bit of a pain.. perhaps I'm using the wrong stuff, or not cutting it out correctly.. and I've never applied it with soapy water either.. JimS

the mild soapy water helps to slide the patch into position without creases when it dries it's drum tight

I am sure there are a few sailmakers in San Diago. Visit one and ask if they have any offcuts of the sticky dacron that they cut out into sail numbers. Failing this, they may be coerced into selling you a piece, half a yard or so. May cost you ten bucks or so, but it will last a couple of years. This material can be removed and replaced many times without the 'stick' failing.

Brighton Boat Works sells the patch material in different colors. Email or call, I think they even cut the patches to size for some boats.
