Well it has taken a few months but I had a ride up to Traplet Towers to collect the first of the RPG-v2 laser cut kits.
It has been looked at from the ground up and features a brand new blade design that I have been testing hard on my 700. This will hopefully give the AUW weight a wider tolerance so as to accept heavier Lipo's.
I have also designed a new spindle as these gearboxes are getting harder to find, the 'Genisis v2' is mainly ply but should be rugged as it features a 6mm silver steel main shaft.
If the new head works OK I will try and persuade them to make seperate kits for these, but it's all hand and cuff at the moment. Autogyros are not the easiest thing in the world to try and promote and it is really hard trying to convince these magazines that they should give them a bit of chance.

So a few photos of what I have, I hope to get building sometime soon but need to finish off a new design I am building for someone else and I have a Kellett kit to do!

If a build log is of interest then I can take photos and type away, if not then I won't waste my time and get on with the build

Oh yes Rich a build log please. It will be interesting to see where the differences lie between the old and the new and a build log seems the ideal way for us to see.

At the moment I believe traplet have seized selling the RPG, once this one has been built and I know it goes together ok will they get on with kit production.

I sold this to a guy at the Nationals this year for £80 thinking I was getting a new convert to gyros but it looks like it turned out to be someone out to make a fast buck, only a fool would pay his asking price though!
