Nice

I am a Glock guy and have a G17 but Glock didn't have anything slim enough to carry every day IMO. I know lots that carry G19's and G26's but I wanted something that I could put in my waistband and forget it is even there. This is that thin but if it malfunctions a lot I will be forced to go thicker

My wife is scared of guns but at least now I have managed to talk her into learning how to shoot. After that maybe she will be more willing to carry.

I don't have a CCW, but my wife prefers our single stack 9mm sig p225 because she has small hands... it's also a helluva gun.

My XG8 arrived today. The radio has a great feel to it. The radio is easy to hold on to as you can wrap your fingers around the sides easily, its done by a deeply recessed back panel. Gimbals are angled out a bit which helps.

The battery has a LiFe battery installed with the charger built into the radio. The walwart is basically a 9v power supply.

The only down side I have right off the bat is the darn power light is one of those bright blue led types. Bright enough to poke your eye out. But I shouldn't be looking at the radio when I'm flying should I.....

I'll play with the programming tonight when I get home.

Rich
Gooder review Mr. Thorne !! Oh, and should be easier to sEE if you've left the XG8 turned oN !
