The E-gull has no up/turn mix and is more likely to spiral, motor not same as Firebird. 4" prop instead of 5" Firebird has better duration for getting into more trouble. Right Dave!! Best Regards

I'm partial to firebird xl. Got over 125 flights on it. Uses 2 channels, one for throttle and one for turning. I'm designing a new vee tail for it. Much bigger with a larger control surface. The XL version uses a mabuchi 380 motor and the servo and esc are on a pcb board along with the receiver.
I run the stock 6 cell 900 mah nimh battery and I'm getting 18 minutes of flight time.
This plane had mucho crashes when I first started flying in May of this year. My main wing is fully taped from the crease of each dihedral. Protects against prop crunch of the back edge of the wing. Extremely easy to fly because it flies slow. I currently fly a T-52 and a sky scooter pro but I will still bring the firebird out for relaxation.
