Well, I got mine put together except for the servos and battery which are on order.

One problem I have is that I can't seem to locate the holes in the wingtips for the SFG bolts.

Can someone give me the measurement from the LE to the center of the screw hole? I don't want to screw up the covering poking around looking for it.
Thanks,

Chuck

Got my MXS today and threw it together as quick as I could after work. I was really surprised at how quick this thing actually went together. It was a breeze. Unfortunately I only managed to get one flight in before it was too dark and everything was kinda rushed, but WOW!!!! Only took her for about a 4 minute spin but I can tell this is going to be my new fav. The sheer awesomeness of elevator authority on this beast is a thing to be appreciated. I can't wait to rip through some more packs tomorrow when I can actually see the thing, lol.

Thanks. I found some other inconsistencies in the docs, too.

Hey, EF, update your instructions.

Chuck
I found a minor error in the extra exp manual. So i sent an email describing what I saw to EF, and got a nice thank you and a good feeling that they were going to correct it.

I'm talking to another team member about putting some build videos together but it is going to be awhile. He's busy, I'm busy, and there no funding.

Thanks! It was a mission for sure, haha. I reallllly shouldn't have taken it up with how dark it was and the radio half-programmed with rates copied from another plane, but I couldn't resist this beast.

Wish I would have known this. I ended up digging in a bit with a razor trying to find the darn things only to ruin the spot for the wood screws No big deal, but an update to the manual would be nice for others. Usually I don't read the manual unless I find something that confuses me or I'm unfamiliar with... turned out the other way around this time, haha.

Got 5 packs charged, time to go unleash the beast. I'm gonna show everyone at the club what "Extreme Flight" really means Have a great day guys!

It takes a while for new ones to get in the boxes though....

from the updated manual
Quote:
If using the included Side Force Generators or fiberglass racing wing tips now is the time to mount them. Each SFG or fiberglass tip mounts using 2 Wood screws just as you used to mount the cowl. Locate the SFG in the proper position on the wing tip. Mark the location of the screw holes. We then drill a small pilot hole in these locations, and then carefully screw in the wood screw. Then remove the wood screw, and put a drop of thin CA in the hole created. This will harden the threads. Once the CA has dried, then install the wing tip of your choice.
Sorry for the confusion.

I didn't even look at the one that came with the plane, I downloaded it straight from the MXS page yesterday. The link is still pointing to the old one.

Yup, I downloaded the doc and read it when I ordered the plane to get a head start.

I'm happy to see that EF is monitoring this thread and responding to our comments. Good job, EF.
