I also yield to UNGN. I'll alert him to this thread in case he hasn't seen it.

Running motors in Series on 2S the voltage will run them at very close to their typical 1S voltage and should not make them much more prone to burning out.

They might see 5+ Volts (and more if you hold one prop stationary), but in normal operation they should be able to handle it. Don't overuse wide open Throttle and they should be fine.

I guess you may be right Dennis.

Today the weather was not too good but Jin & Paul came over my place and we all went to a local school field.

I got another video of the Micro SPAD flying with Jin and Paul's Avro-504's.

The SPAD flew great.

She is really a beauty. Some of those far-off shots look like she is just coming back from the "Line" over the trees. Great video.

Thanks,
Dennis

Hi, UNGN.

I have an old Dymond SKY 24/6/12-BEC laying around. What do you think about my using this for the two Mosie motors that will be in series. The battery I'm using is a Turnigy nano-tech 260mah 2S 35~70C Lipo Pack. It won't be drawing anywhere near the 24 Amps of the Dymond. Is there a downside to running a higher capacity controller with this setup?

Thanks,
Dennis

Hey Gene, is it just me or did your favorite CVS tissue never really show up at CVS this holiday? I kept an eye on the ones near me, but they never seemed to get any different tissue in than the year-round stuff.

Damn ... I didn't check this year since I stocked up last! I'll visit my CVS tomorrow, but anticipate failure since they're really quick to abandon Santa in favor of Cupid.
