Build Log
Toc (pilot-rc) 88" yak 54!

Hey guys so today I'm going to go get a older 50cc yak 54 from a buddy of mine that flies with me. Its really dirty and the elevator counter balances are broken so I'm going to be doing a build/fix log for you guys and I will post pictures. Hopefully I can turn this $75 dollar airframe to a good flying and looking aircraft! I am taking any tips on building like witch glue to use and ext..
Im going to be running:

Savox SC-0251 High Torque Metal Gear Digital Servo at 222. oz-in on 6v

DLE 55

And also a falcon 23x10 prop

Stay tuned? I guess thats the word I would use? for more!

Thanks Casey Koehler,age 14

What CS is the Yak 54 you're getting? A guy at our club field has the same plane in the green/silver/black/white scheme.

She looks a lot better than I thought she would from your OP comments (she strikes me as a bit of a bargain at only $75 - nothing is cheap when 2nd hand down here - I guess that is just because freight adds so much on importation costs, you normally pay the airframe price twice on a plane that size if you opt to import one yourself).
A bit of TLC and a new heart will have her bouncing around the air in no time - huge fan of Yak54's, so I'm really looking forward to watching your progress - in between my own 30cc Sbach build.

A clothes Iron was my dad's iron of choice. When Mono kote 1st came out nobody had a covering iron.
As a child I remember quite well the day my dad bought his 1st roll of mono kote
He was so excited. He became a real master of it unlike myself.
