I was on a business trip to Turkey the last two weeks and had the oportunity to visit the Rahmi M. Koc Museum, in Istanbul Turkey. The museums founder had an interest in any things technical and had a love of Steam Engines, Cars, Planes, and ships. Sort of like my interests. The museum has an amazing collection and well worth the visit, unfortunately I did not have the time to visit the whole museum. Attached are some of my pics, Enjoy

That's a big displacement lurbicator on the twin in the restored steam boat in the first set. Must hold at least three pints of oil.

And its competition at the time (The Iseta)

Another contender was the BMW bubblecar, VERY similar to the Isetta with a front opening lid.

In the UK, bubble cars could be driven on a motor-cycle licence if a reverse gear blanking plate was fitted to the gearbox, - had to have a CAR licence if it hadn't.

Many had to be pushed back if the driver parked facing a wall

The Messy was OK untill hot sunny weather when it acted as a greenhouse and cooked the occupant(s) although the one shown has a ragtop, many had a perspex Bubble top. Poor little 200cc engine used to break easily too.

I had another long trip in Turkey again, got back last week. Visited the museum again because when I got back I then realized I missed the building across the street I was not disappointed more steam models and model boats.
