The FPV plane 2,70m (fiberglass) :)

Hello,
For some time I wanted a stable aircraft that can carry the weight (because I have future plans to test for HD connections ...), a nice plane and very good quality. I am inspired by Skywalker with a wingspan of 2.70m.

So I created this thread to share the complete construction of the future aircraft.

For the moment the mold is in progress, I'll post photos of the progress of the project as and to the first flight

For more photos: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cruch...26711824039089 (like the page )

Do you have any ideas to find a name?

PS: Excuse me for the mistakes horographes I translate my messages with google translate ...

Wait, what did you do with the laser? Looks really cool! Also, a plane that size might benefit from landing gears, be sure to strengthen the fus in those areas.

The laser is used to guide me when pasting two forms (to prevent it from being twisted, "crooked")

Here, the laser with a rotating house https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

Ps: The google translate allows correct English ?

That thing looks huge!
What is the length of the fuse?
What size prop will it accommodate?
The pre-2013 SkyWalker could take a 9 inch prop. With some mount mods maybe 10 inch.
Makes for more noise than I care.
So if a concern to you, consider accommodating the maximum size prop in there to quiet it down and probably get better efficiency.
Expected weight?

Expected weight?
Here they are

Features:

Wingspan: 2.70 m
Length: 1.47 m
Weight:? 3300g? (with fpv)
Engine: Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 4250-500kv - (Approximatif. ..) (depending on final weight)
Propeller: 13pouces Tripales or two-bladed
Number of servos: 5 or 6 with the flaps
Lipo: 4s 5000mah

So it will be a helix of 13pouces I think the maximum would 14pouces but I do not think putting too great!

At the moment I have no fiberglass resined 200gr for the form so after a few days

This is very nice. I will be following your progress. I like the wing mount much better than the Skywalker design.

The only thing that would concern me is replicating the SW's T-tail design. I am not an expert, but I felt it was a weakness of my SW. Strengthening that area without adding excessive tail weight seems like a challenge.

Very nice!

Are you looking at selling airframes out of the molds? Or is this just a private project?

I'll see when it will be finished, but I do not think I worry too much rigidity

I receive a lot of private e-mail with this question
My goal is to make the right aircraft with maximum performance and flight level of autonomy for fpv
I think sale after doing a lot of flight test (not want to sell some thing bad or wrong flight!)
