I've done some tests with the same battery (which was almost dead) and been unable to recreate the issue. So I've been flying one of my less favorite planes til I build up confidence again. I did flash new openTX over weekend, but have to believe that is a coincidence.

My limited experience tells me that there are no coincidences as far as radios rebooting are concerned if there is a reboot, there is a problem and it will happen again unless it is fixed.

I see talk of ppm and DSM2 but nothing on DSMX.
The radio comes without module, and that capability will depend on what module you install.

Orange module will do DSM2 and DSMX, you have to push the button on the back to switch modes.

DX4e hack module will do both, and has model match. No button pressing required.

After looking at the program eepe I have seen what I'm looking for which are customizable switching statements.
Do these work real life as clean as they seam to be in the setup?

I have a DX9 and looking for something less one size fits all, or to get that dress shirt you need to buy the whole suit situation.

This was the controller I was looking at right before I bought my DX9. I'm revisiting my decision.

Thanks

No problem. Get the OrangeRX module from HobbyKing. Here's some notes that might be useful.
