Just flew mine with stock setup on 3s 2200's. Anybody play around with any props other than the 9x6? Was trying to get a little more zip out of her.

Did you calibrate your esc? It should be plenty zippy with the rimfire 10 and a 9x6.

I second that. Plenty of zip set up with the recommended motor and prop.

Try APC 8x8E. It will give you about 10mph more speed with a little less vertical authority. I know from testing that Turnigy Nanotech battery produces about 10% more power than the Electrifly.

I have had several Contenders. Have all sorts of extra parts. Have the U S A F and the stars & bars decals.

This is such a pleasent docile plane to fly. I think the rimfire .10 is a perfect match. I really wish TF would I troduce a larger brother e version, I'd be in line to buy.

Figures. My wife just gave me a replacement for the one lost on the maiden for Christmas. My luck with this plane amazes me to no end.....

What happened? It's hard to believe this bird could crash, outside of equipment failure.

Can't believe it's been 1 and a half years. Time flies when you are having fun.

Yes, it was a system failure. The transmitter stick actuator lost orientation and promptly burried the plane before it was even trimmed out. Post 279 is how I will finish it again. Unlike the previous maiden, #2 will insure sufficient illumination to prevent subsequent re-occurence. A least that's what I told my wife!

Happy holidays all.

"transmitter stick actuator"

Very funny!. One of those sentences you read and go "wait, what?".
