I saw the model too at the Expo this weekend. I Love the design. I bought the plans for the .049 version and never got around to building it. It turns out that it was a actually a full scale plane called the fan trainer.
I Asked about the model at the show. It will cost 139.00 US. as a arf and includes the fan unit and outrunner brushless motor. It will be avalible in roughly 2 months. The modle is from "The World Models Manufacturing Co." their web site is www.theworldmodels.com. It's on page 084 of their 2008 print catalouge. I'm putting in a order for mine as soon as it's avalible.
The modle looked pretty nice. It is all wood construction. The fuse wood was clearly all laser cut. It has a 2 piece wing joined through the fuse with a wing tube and a rubberband in the fuse. The canopy is held on with a really nice spring loaded catch. It has a steerable nose wheel and fixed main gear. looks like all hardware is included. you just need to supply a radio, esc and battery.
It's called the UniJet.
225 sq" wing.
28 oz. flying weight.
32.5" fuse length.
4 chanel control w/ 4 micro servos
includes a 30A brushless outrunner motor and fan unit KM0283110
has a steerable nose gear.
The rep was really excited about it.
