Ford Flivver Electrical Power
I just ordered by Ford Flivver small glo 40 size ARF which is a special running now at Dymond Modelsports. While I expect to use a RCV 58CD on another plane now (bad intention?), I welcome any suggestions for selecting an electric power for this size Flivver.
Here are Dymond's recommendations for 3 flights 8 minutes each or one long flight approx 25 min:
Motor Gunther 30/3
Speed controller 60 A
5 mm clamp on propeller adapter with 40 mm aluminum spinner
Aluminum motor mount with cooling fins
Propeller 11 x 5.5
Battery 3S2P 7000 mah
I do not want to use a receiver battery, so I will need to get an ultimate BEC which can be wired in parallel with the speed controller and provides the power for the receiver.
Also, I am interested in all tips, including from those who have built and flow the Ford Flivver large glo 60 size ARF, which is no longer available from Dymond.
