12 O'clock high has come and gone, it was another great event put on by Frank Tiano. I only managed to get three flight's in but had a heck of a time, met some new great people, and watched a lot of folk's drool over the Eagle. It definitely need's a wash and polish after this weekend. One of the Pitt's brothers also stopped by, modracer07 (aka) Chris and pictured below, I think he liked it. I had planned on more flight's but after the first one Saturday morning I went to swap the two blade for the three and found that it had two prop bolt's broke. But that did and does not take away the pure pleasure of the three flights I did get or the time spent this weekend enjoying this hobby and the many fantastic people in it.

Here is the video of the first flight of the third day, nothing fancy, going to take it a bit easy with it until I feel confident it can handle the extra weight.
The extremely annoying noise in the background is a twin waiting his turn to go up, you'll hear it when he does. Also the video quality is not very good, I would suggest not enlarging it.

Nice flight, Ace...You're getting comfortable with those landings, huh?

Apparently you have her trimmed pretty well- the landings don't seem too fast, at all.

Good show.

Thank you gentlemen. And it can only get better from here. The first flight of the weekend was a shock of sorts. The rearranging of weight with the removal of two pounds really made a big difference. Previous flights were as if it was a brick and landing always came with a thud when the wheels touched down. But that is gone, it felt light and agile, plus a much lighter feel on the landing without any thud. The engine is running extremely rich and will get tuned this week. That video was with it running about one thousand RPM's short of full, make's a big difference. Why is it so rich? Well, I changed the oil from 50-1 to 40-1 and I went from a 34x12 to a 34-14 prop. And I also put the dual exhaust into a single outlet which I don't think helped, the sound is definitely less impressive, I will change back to dual.
All in all I am extremely happy with the outcome.
Once the three blade is on and it is running right I will get another video to show the difference.

Beautiful aircraft but it looks like a model without a pilot. Are you planning on installing a good looking pilot?

I pulled it out Saturday to get it tuned and running proper. In short time I realized it was not the tune but rather the plugs going south. Especially when one completely died during the warm up run. Changed the plugs with some NGK's and it was screaming 4000 rpm's with the big prop. Hopefully I can get it to the airfield this weekend for some good flight video.

Hey guy's, been a while so here is some updating. I have been changing, moving, and rearranging until happy, I think I am there. Here is the last test vid and everything is spot on. I just have to get used to that big ass 32" brake on the front.
Red Eagle (3 min 7 sec)

And then, well, it finally happened, today was the day, nearly a year in the works, I finally got to put Jacquie on the sticks of the Eagle. She did pretty darn well for a first timer to r/c. I think she really enjoyed it, I know I did. What a great day! Hope to do it again sometime.
