I have a PIC Pro and I am very pleased with it. What seems to be the problem? I am flying mine with seperate components from the start and it has worked great.

Are you using a Piccoboard? Mine does the same thing at low throttle settings, I always have to correct the yaw to get the tail pointed the right way before liftoff. It's like the tail motor has a mind of its own until about 50% throttle.

Hi Ian,

Is the Picoboard installed in the position the instructions say?
If not the gyro might not be stabilizing the vertical axis of the bird (with the tail rotor) as it should. A fellow clubmate did that mistake.

BTW a question: is the tail motor of the Pro a GWS or is the same motor of the standard Pic?

Thanks, Joćo

Hi Ian,

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Is it that it did fly but now the tail motor goes full speed? Or has it not worked at all?

If it did work and now doesn't check you battery voltage. It was the case that as the battery voltage drops very low the tail rotor motor goes to full speed.

Or if voltage is good and it did fly it could be a failed controller

If you did not ever get it to work check your tail rotor servo direction. I believe it needs to be in the "reversed" and not normal.

Or again it could be a defective controller

I hope this helps
