2.4 antennae placement with carbon tow

I started this repair project on a Kinetic 100. I have a few methods in mind for repairing the nose area as well as strengthening to keep the nose from buckling again.

My question has to do with whether I should run the antennae (Airtronics 2.4) externally or can I run them inside away from the carbon tow?

I was thinking of running one externally under the removable canopy perpendicular to the fuse, and the other parallel to the fuse away from the tow inside.

Antennae placement may dictate the method of repair I do

Thanks for any info
Brandon

I have been in the exact shoes as you. K100, nose repair, second hand model.

Thanks Alex.

I question this because its only a bit of carbon tow. If it was all carbon there would be no question. I can use either carbon or kevlar for the fix and I would like to keep the antenna inside.

I have lost two models that only had carbon tow in the fuselage and still had lock-outs.

Whatever you do, the deciding test is a two man Range check. 30-50 paces, low power, one guy holding model slowly rotating through all angles to the transmitter

Yea, I don't think my normal "flying range check" will be used.
