Where to start?

Hi guys,
As a spring/summer project, my friend and I would like to build a small UAV simply for fun. At first, we wanted to just use an old HZ Super Cub body modified with all new electronics, a brushless motor, larger LiPo battery, and ailerons and flaps on a 2.4Ghz system. We then were going to install a second reciever which controlled a camera on a swivel mount underneath.

I then decided we should include an autopilot system with waypoints and such. This now started to make the HZ body impractical, and weight and space became issues.

I have no issues with building an airframe, whether it's foam or balsa/basswood construction, and I compiled a list of what we would want in this plane:

-Ability to land in long grass (2-3in) Belly landing is fine, though we may need to land on concrete.
-Stable flight
-A live-feed camera controlled separately from the plane.
-Auto-Stabilization
-Possible Waypoints and Autopilot
-Possible Heading Holding abilities
-Altitude holding
-MINIMAL COST
-Flight time of 30min or more

I think that's all I have for now. I don't have a ton of money for this project, and it's only for fun, so I don't want to put too much into it. Does anyone know of any airframes that are either cheap or would work for some of the stuff I'm looking at?
Any links to UAS equipment or good, cheap, camera equipment?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi guys,
I'm actually going to see if the Super Cub body would work after all. I feel like the addition of a larger brushless will overcome the added weight of everything else, although I'd have to look into it a little more.
As for equipment, I was looking at the ArduPlane Mega 2.0 for the UAS,
and using this offer by HobbyKing:

What do you guys think?
