I think you meant to say a 1/35 DUKW, not 1/72 scale.

I actually bought the 1/35 Italeri DUKW kit a few years ago, thinking I could do a simple conversion like yours. But I was concerned about freeboard, and figured it would only work in the most shletered of waters....

Very impressive-- what sort of run times are you getting?

Apologies for the error. to cold and freeezing fingers, she is the 1/35th scale version from airfix
run time at present approx 10-12 minutes, but we have lots of room for a larger Lipo, on order at present, should get 20-25 mins
handles waves well but not if they get in to the cargo hold

FYI-- The Airfix 1/35 DUKW is a re-boxing of the Italeri kit, with different decals.
Same plastic in either case, so either would work.
