He is running 2 fans. A 450 will give him 225mah per fan allowing about a 3 minute flight.

I might not be at 100% throttle all the time, I usually back off for a cooling lap

First Turnigy 6A went up in smoke as soon as it was plugged in. A nice pop, and flash of light, then smoked as I unplugged it. The square chip towards center. Tested motor to make sure it was ok. Tried second one, and it worked. So I'll be waiting for a new esc. Now need to check what other goodies I should order.

Tested thrust of the one fan. Was kind of hard to judge thrust while holding the fuselage together. Felt like one would fly it, but certainly not vertical. The duct didn't seam to bog it down much. And speeded up the exhaust quite a bit. The esc was also in the exhaust. I just ran the wires out the back to make it easy to test. So I'm feeling better about the duct size.

Thats bad news about the ESC!
Are you gonna strip down the ESC to save some weight ive got mine down to 3.1 grs.

I was looking at my turnigy 6a esc and it doesnt have a capacitor

Mine is the Plush version. It also says, "Bulletproof speed controller". Didn't try bullets, but it sure didn't like electrons. I don't think I'll strip it down.

I'm still working on this plane. I see the ESC on order is still in China. Oh, my.
Edit-- tracking shows it left Hong Kong on the 6th.
Edit-- The new esc arrived today, a little over a month later.

Two working ESC's. Now to figure out how to fit it all in. Thinking close to how its laying, with the wires cut into the center foam.

Thanks for the interest. Thats why I warn people that I build slow.
Not really that slow, I just have so many projects going all the time.
I cut the notch in the center foam for the wires. Looks like I'll be able to tuck in most of the wire.
I have been working on cleaning up the CAD file, so I can post it. Might just post as is, since it might take awhile to clean it up. Just makes it a bit confusing as to what layers I actually used, and what layers are just left over from drawing the individual area's.
Probably would be much easier to make if it was a little bigger. So thinking of making a larger one. Will see how this one flys first.
Edit: to many projects, hope to get back to this in a couple of weeks.

Since I have not had time to work much on this I was going to post the messy CAD file. But the limit on file size is to low. I'll have to split the layers into separate files, when I have time. These CAD files are in Bobcad V23 format. My software for some reason does not want to save in any other format. I'll see if I can figure out why.

Edit: posted a more cleaned up version of the Bobcad V23 cad file. And the same file made from the STL parts.
Edit: added the Canopy tabbed for milling in Bobcad, and STL. Has mill boundary, and parting plane. Added the top half of tabbed fuselage, and DXF of it, and an flipped version in STL to mill the inside.
Added elevator (taileron), Verticals and wings. Ok, I think I just have the lower fuselage left to do.
