Just finished building it, ready for Paint and electronics.

weight without electronics and paint 1.8kg!

used 13 depron sheets
1.52 m (60 inches) wingspan
2.20 m (87 inches) Length

ordered 2 ntm 4248 650kv motors,
11x7 11x8, 12x7 and 12x8 props
gonna use 6 cell batteries
two 80 amp escs

What do you guys think about my battery and motor choice?

I want some speed, but high alpha, and aerobatics are a higher priority.

Struggling a bit with the setup on my new dx18, i want to toggle elevon on and off on switch, and i dont want the ailerons to move up when the elevators move up.

i want a "normal" setup for high speed rolls and loop, and a aerobatic flight mode for high alpha and aerobatics, with elevons, spoilerons and bigger canard movements.

I like your project, pretty cool. The SU-37 is the most beautiful bird of all Shumate jets. Do you have an estimate on your total flying weight?

thanks ive built this in one and a half week, got so eager, couldnt stop cutting depron. Im guessing around, 4 to 4,5 kg wild guess. Thrust around 6 kg.

All electronics are on its way to my mailbox, cant wait to install it

as for the motors, if math is wrong, its my fault.. but feel free to correct it. 11x7 3 blade or 12x8 2 etc, all seem good, and within spec of motors at 1300w aprox each.

My gf started to get contractions a couple hours ago btw .

I ordered a "lander" retract system on eBay for the su37
147 mm long legs, 70 mm diameter main wheels.

The SU37 is very cool. I'll be curious to see how you tackle the gear as I'll be getting back onto my similar project soon.

That is the retract kit i bough, 147mm legs, full metal lander

I havent decided if i should mount it inside nacelle or under wing And make a slot in the fairing coming from the rudder, what do you think?

She just did, at the hospitale now .

I just saw the 242 % thread. I got inspired by fhhobbies 175% su37, unfortunatly He crashed And didnt repair i I think. But it was a Nice build!

Thanks for help picking the gear , the goal must be to build it fast, Maiden it and do the finish later.
