Build Log
79" Grumman Goose (Bart83 & Morgan Mill RC)

This is a short kit designed by Bart83 and cut by morganmill/rc. Fuse side goes together quite easily. Hey Bart & Gary...This is just awesome! It's 4:30AM, I can't sleep anymore. :>) I glued up one side last night, let it dry, flipped it and glued the other side this morning. My glue of choice, Super Phatic by Deluxe Materials: WATERPROOF!, water based, very thin, penetrating, no odor, sands well, not brittle., loses half its weight when dry. Allergic to CA, hardly use it anymore. Gotta slow down a bit as I want this build to last the better part of the winter!

COOL I'M IN...I've heard about this glue but haven't tried it yet it suppose to work quite well? but I'm sure like most glues there's a proper place to use it and some places not to use it?

Have fun w/ your new winter project,

Bruce

Hi Bart! No glue there, left it in to maintain proper spacing, will be removed soon. Going indoor flying now and will pick up bending jig for landing gear from my friend Wendall www.isthmusengineering

Moving right along. Good friend Wendall www.isthmusengineering.com built the landing gear bending jig. Thanks again Wendall! Hopefully, second package (with all the plywood formers) from USPS will arrive tomorrow. Are we having fun yet? You betcha!

Very cool Freddy,
Dont slow down, just order a second kit and build 2x.

I love the balsa jigsaw Bart, it looks like a different design philosophy from the dornier.

I'm very much looking forward to following this build. Subscribed with "instant notification"

Thanks Wormboy! Yeah 2 things always amaze me with this type of kit: the absence of plans and tolerances to within a couple of thousandths.
More to come soon....

Lookin' good Freddy . The goose is one of my favorite planes. I've always been a scale boat builder, but have been flyin' for 15 years now also, might give this one a try. .

Hi Mat ,

The design philosophy is thanks to Zeke , his Albatross inspired me very much as fred should notice about now

The Do24 is a more scale subject wich does not build as fast and easy as this goose.

Cheers,

Bart
