Would this work?

Would it be possible to run 2 ESCs off one single receiver channel via a Y-cable? I don't need the two ESCs to run independently and don't intend to use the BECs. Attached it a modified diagram from Ghost 2501's thread.

Yes, you can as long as you want both of them doing the same thing. I have done this in my S-100 for the outboard motors with the center motor and ESC being on another channel.

Thanks for the reply! What worried me was that some diagrams featured a "mixer" circuit that connects both ESCs with the receiver, but I guess that's if you wanted to get independent control of both ESCs. I wasn't sure if a Y-cable would work but it seemed logical since the ESCs sorta behave like servos in terms of getting the receiver signal input.

be sure to check the info on the esc, usually you need to disconnect a wire on the esc reciever plug to disable the bec. if you use a reciever battery you would need to disconnect that wire on each esc. Greg
