Anyone tried Banana's Gyro RC EDF Jets??

Looking for my "first" jet and these look very tempting

... but what I've read about Banana Hobby, looks can be deceiving...

Please advise

Though not EDF, I do have the E-Flite Micro Beast and can vouch for the ASMX gyro stabilization; it's great! It does what they say it's supposed to do. Still a squirrely lil' plane though, aircraft that small are not very stable. And in all honesty, for the $$$ you wind up spending on those micros, you could step up to 65-70mm EDF. More bang for your buck, in my opinion!

On a side note, my old man and I have several BH airframes...can't say we'll be purchasing any more though. The kits are nice but the electronics are crap, you might as well strip all electronics and use your own stuff...headache after headache with their servos and ESCs (the MOST important components). Their customer service/tech support is practically non-existent; we've waited days for a reply from them. Lastly, defective items are almost always backordered w/o any hope of them ever coming back in stock. I'd suggest you shop around; BH has some maturing to do. Again, just my opinion

Unfortunately that opinion is shared by many, which is why I posted this... When you see "Pete" on all those youtube videos with all the cool planes I just get so excited!!!

Gyro offers more stuff to go wrong, and decreases your flying skills. Use expo if your twitchy flying planes. EDFs are smoother flying then airplanes as no prop wash over flying surfaces, just the air your flying through. They almost act mushy until your at speed. Just MO though.
