Question
BNF for Easy Small Slow Flyer for Dx6i.

I already have dx6i, looking for BNF small, easy and slow flyer.

- Champ, Ember 2 or Night Vapor? To fly in small park or backyard?

Champ fits your description perfectly.

My 8 year old son (flown 4 times) loves it... and brags he lands it better than I can my Supercub or Trojan (and he right most of the time). Yet I still love flying it too (with 8 bigger planes to chose from too).

I have all three of the listed planes. In my opinion only, the Champ beats them all hands down.

Forgot to ask about dealing with low wind, champ or ember 2? I would think the Champ will require biger area to fly? I was thinking of flying it inside a small school yard?

Hi Torch,

In the 5 years I've been here on RC Groups, I have recommended (half heartedly) a few different planes for beginners.

I have never given a 100% recommendation on any plane however, until such time as I tried the HobbyZone Champ for myself to see what it was all about.

In my humble opinion, it rates a 5 star rating in every single category. Durable, perfectly balanced right out of the box, easily replaceable parts, extremely forgiving with the typical beginner mistakes, and if you get into trouble and don't know what to do next, just shut the throttle off and it will land perfectly, all by itself.

Find a big grassy field (no concrete) and a dead calm day (usually evening or early mornings), and this plane will have you flying in short order.

It is thee perfect newcomer's plane, bar none... in my opinion.
