Both sections of the video have about the same top speed, right about 85-86mph.

The other passes were like 80-82 mph but, the two fastest were like 85 mph, and I checked in multiple doppler software as well.

The lipos Hobbypartz sells have all worked nice for me and they are low cost as well. 8.9 volts is way too low under load! you should be closer to 10.8-11.0 under load. Watt meters can really help diagnose problems and are a great tool to have.

Are you referring to the Blue Lipo or another one they carry? |

Don, can you please doppler the first 3 passes in this clip:
http://treswright.vervehosting.com/M...001-29-11.m2ts Unfortunately my wife was filming and the jet is rarely in the clip, LOL! The sound samples should be adequate though. After the first 3 passes the rest is all partial throttle stuff. Passes were all cross-wind, so just let me know what the fastest pass was. This is the Wicked-equipped Flying Shark. EDIT TO ADD- oops, I just realized you need the temp and I never checked it, argh! I think it was in the 55-60 range, not sure how much of a difference that makes in speed. I asked the wife and she thinks it was around 60. Edit #2- wow that file is big. It's high def, I'm trying to figure out how to save it down to a smaller file size. |

http://treswright.vervehosting.com/M...%201%20720.wmv First 3 passes are all you need to review, the rest is partial throttle. And could you also please check this clip, there are two full throttle passes beginning at 26 seconds and at 44 seconds, the rest is all partial throttle flying. This is the "Spacerunner", a small jet running twin EDF40's with 5800 kv Feigaos. It's not real fast or anything, but I'd like to know what it's doing out of curiosity This was taken the same time as the shark clip, so around 60 degrees.http://treswright.vervehosting.com/M...unner%20MD.wmv Thanks! |

That shark is a lot bigger than I thought it was, I got 75 ,80 and 75 on those passes. The spacerunner looks to be in the 55 mph range. Is the lipo under a lot of load on full throttle, it appears to be dropping voltage/rpm when at full throttle which makes it harder to doppler.
