That is indeed a Top Flite Jr. Nobler. I had one back in the middle '60s with a Fox .25. One of the best flying airplanes I ever had.

Hi DCL

From memory it flew really good , those coupled flaps work well ,did you mean a 15 or a 25 , I didnt know Fox made a 25
I will bring it out of retirement , its got some sort of tough silk cover , and I reckon a 2,5 diesel with a 9x4 might be just right , my friend even had a 10x4 on and he was looping easy on his 2.5 diesel

Its heavy and I dont have the faintest on the CG with an empty tank , but I can give it a try , might check Meccoa for a 15 diesel

It came up fairly well , put a canopy on , fixed tail wheel , got the cobwebs off , to many engine choices , a nice OS,LA 15 would be nice , but I saw at Meccoa a Sharma Indian Diesel for $60 , Im tempted ,

on 52 ft of 12 thou wire its going to be a real real nice flyer

NX-687,

Yep Fox made a .25 cu. engine to compete with the K&B Torpedo .23 cu.
Used a Top Flite 9-4 due to low prop clearance.
On 52 ft. .012 in. lines she was sweet. I took pains to keep her light.
As I remember, CG was just on the front edge of the wing spar.
She was orange with a white sunburst on the wing, vertical tail, horizontal tail and black anti-glare from the canopy forward to the engine.
