Especially now, I have a larger Edge from another manufacturer that I am so in love with I hardly fly any of my other planes anymore, and yet they all fly great. I'm just so connected with this plane that I don't care about my other planes which is a shame because they are truly good planes. But you know how it is when you find that one that you are just perfect with and it helps you grow so much as a pilot. And it is purely a matter of personal style which plane that winds up being, no reflection on the quality or flyability of other planes. I think this is why we are constantly buying new planes, we are in search of that next one we can connect with and grow as pilots.
Could not have said it better

I just got done flying my 47 inch Edge at the local field. I bought it shortly after they came out, but waited a year to put it together. Mostly I fly foamies or a balsa profile at the park. In three years time I replaced a couple axles and one landing gear on the Edge. I don't get too crazy with it, but do rolling circles, flat spins, lomcevaks, elevator, harrier, snaps, hammerheads, cuban eights, and other stunts. After a foamy, it is so easy to move up to a bigger plane with the Edge. It flies so nice that I don't feel a need to try a different plane.

Just picked up a new one! I am planning on balance on the wing tube, Ω130, HS 65 MG's, and 3S power.

Any hints on low rates? I assume high is 45˚ or all I can get?

I'd suggest reading the manual ... I suspect it is linked to in the earlier part of the thread or you could probably just use the same rates as given for the 48" Edge's manual ( which is really the new one )

Thanks!!!!!

I didn't know it shared a manual. The cg and throws will make my maiden more comfortable, and then I can go from there.

Kinda wondering how it flies compared to the new Edge?

yes. I have the new edge also, and I should have the 47 up and running this weekend. Steve has flown both so you could ping him and ask…

I know HE likes the 47 better but I do not know exactly why.

I only found that out after I searched this thread for the manual and that was that they had linked to... the old link was broken but it didn't take much to get the new link to where they are now... I just visited the 3DHS website for it.

FYI.. I just searched for PDF to find it...
