No 2028 equalls with a single HET motor but, if you wanted to go twins, it could be accomplished that way.
I'm actually running a pair of the 700-68 1680 kv HET motors in my Cheetah "Red Bull" twin. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1641163 Pretty good motors actually.

anyone know what happened to the manufacturer of the hull? I do not see it advertised on E-Bay any more.

He dont advertise them you have to email him to get one...i contacted him via ebay by email and he got back to me very quickly..nice guy...good service... nice hull to work with... DJ

I also have a falcon C/K, with a leo 4092/700 on 10S, speed is 52 mph. this motor spins a K54 prop. The coupler is the weak part with the 4.76mm flex, but I will put a new one with setscrews instead of the octura, and I am sure I will go 60mph...
If you want to use the HET 800 590, you should take 12s 5-8000 Mah 30-40c, and a sunrise 180hv esc or castle or..... Of course, you have to buit your boat light, around 10-12 lbs with lipo.I cannot guarantee that it will be faster in race condition, I mean on rough water, or with other boats around, but if you are looking for fun and huge acceleration, it will work.
I have nothing against more powerfull setups, but it carries more weight, this adds a lot of power waste in the turns, not speed in the straights, as logger is showing, the motor is drawing only 50 A

Still haven't ran the beast motor stiks. I was hoping to this Sunday but it's beginning to look like that may be another blown out day. Current forecast is showing winds in the 20 mph category and so far nobody has answered my question regarding whether we're running or not in our club thread on OSE.

Ran the "Toro Beast" motor today and it has some potential. I propped it with a back cut & detongued X460/2 and managed to get it into the water before the winds picked up. It was only blowing about 8-10 mph when this run was made. This is 8s 2p.

Just for giggles I did another run later on 6s 2p but it didn't get video taped. On the same prop running 6s it hit 44 mph and change. Made it real easy to drive... just peg the trigger and steer.

I'll get the data logs up later.

Hard to say for sure. When I bought it in from the 8s run I checked the packs and they were showing 3.84 to 3.85 per cell. I could probably have gotten anoher couple of laps with good power but doubt if it would run a 4 minute heat without pulling packs lower than I want to..

Edit: downloaded the data logs and came pretty close to hitting the 6000 peak wattage on 8s.

We're running Sunday but have already pulled the "beast" motor back out and gave it back to Dave. I ran it a couple of Sunday's ago but the rx was acting up again. This time I pulled it out and replaced it. Should be back in the water Sunday. Tomorrow I'm going to the SRQ Warbird fly-in.

I've pretty much decided to pull the Swordfish out of my Miller American and put it in this boat. I'm still having issues with the Castle "cutting out" way too often. Kind of like having an engine with a miss in it.

This thread was awesome to read through, took me two days. Love how you documented everything. Watching that boat on the 3 blade prop was crazy. 3 blade props are so fast, but love to make the boat leave the water. It would be nice if we had links to get in touch with the maker of the boat, and links to the motor. Thanks again.
