My Laser is going together really, really nice. Instead of killing myself to get it done I worked a couple of hours and put it aside. The next step is putting the tail on and I need to be rested and fresh for that.

I had a great day today just tinkering around with my new Laser kit. I took it real slow and just enjoyed putting it together and the whole process went smooth as silk.

I was really sweating the graphix application, but it went much better than expected. I was stressed out about the stripes being straight and evenly spaced, but working with B and E Graphix quality vinyl made it a lot easier. If you get it wrong you peel it up and start over, which I had to do a few times. In the end I didn't get it perfect, but it still looks really, really good. I'm very pleased with this graphix package.

The stripe on the wheel pants came from the original peel-N-stick sheet, and I just cut it to fit.

this your second one? what happened to the first?

Thanks for the comment, no where near where I want to be, but I do find videoing myself helps me see my mistakes and also my progress

I took the iron and heat gun to mine tonite and took my time and actually enjoyed it this time!

I tore it up worse than I wanted to bother fixing. I hate repair work. It would have been less work to build a new one, so that's what I did. I

I spend a lot of time editing and it really does help you to see the weakness in your game. I'm hoping to get some video with this plane soon.

The Laser is a special plane for me, simply because I have wanted one for 35 years. I loved the way it looked then, and now I really love it after it got EXPed. The long moments and big SFGs really give it some character.

Here's a view of the big Team Extreme decal that B and E made for this graphix package. This is a lot less for than getting one of the stock decals on with no bubbles. On this you peel off the backing and stick it on. It is a air release vinyl which doesn't trap air bubbles as badly, and if you do you just push it out under the edge. These were really easy to get put on perfect.

The new Laser is finally ready to go. I've got it hanging over my desk so I can admire it while I work.

I spent some time going over the covering and otherwise checking everything over and over. I'm going to order another one tomorrow so I have a back up. Plus, Wifey is going out of town next weel so I need something to keep me busy and out of the gentlemen's clubs.

I was hoping to shoot some video today, but the wind was just stupid. Perfect weather is only a day or two away, so I can wait. Mid October in Florida is geogeous and the wind should lay right down soon.

Looks great. I like the shooting star on the wheelpants too.

The real Laser has a star on it in some photos and another design in others. I used a star from the kit decals on the wheel pants, but for the next one I am going to ask B and E Graphix to make one up out of vinyl for me.

I'm also going to try the MXS fiberglass wingtips on this Laser. I just have to get a set and paint them red.
