The landing lights on the full-scale are as follows:

(1) in both wing leading edges, outboard of the gear, if installed when originally built, or:

(2) located in the wheel wells (not the factory location, but very common, nonetheless)

Thanks for the pics, flyboy. Too bad I didn't get that inspiration when I had the covering off a couple weeks ago when I was fixing the lg. I'll see if I can work out something in the wheel well.

Still can't get the optional interior dash board lights to work. What's the secret code?

Sorry can't help you with that one. I don't have the lights and I made my own interior.

Anyone still flying their Swift? I'm thinking of putting mine together but not sure it may be worth the effort considering all the problems it came with.

After about a 4 month hiatus, I flew mine yesterday. She does fly great but again with just a little harder than grease-on landing, the blocking around one of my lg broke again. So it's back to the bench...cut open the covering, repair the balsa damage...try to beef it up better again. Just be sure to go through the whole plane and beef up weak areas and re-glue every joint you can get to. Good luck!

I took it out of the box last night and had a another look and as much as I looked forward this plane I think I'll sell it. I'm extremely disappointed they couldn't have taken more care with it. Regrettably, I've finally concluded Maxford left this plane with way too many weak points for me to mess with and I've been interested in a couple other planes anyway.

Best wishes with yours and I hope you continue to enjoy it despite the problems.
