Question
Letters & Numbers (Firecracker)

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a source for letters and numbers for decorations on my Firecracker (http://www.rcglider.com/Firecracker.HTM) project. Thanks!

Hey Bill, My pops has a vinyl cutter. It works great for letters numbers and such. 6" tall or less. Email me a word doc with the exact fonts and sizes you want and I'll head over there and cut 'em out for you.

I think black is your only option though...but the price is right. His little machine cut all the letters for this...

For my P-80, I used Word to make my own lettering with the font size etc. When it looked good on paper, I got some clear decal sheets, and printed it in my printer.
You have to spray an ink locking clear coat in them before you can use them as traditional water slides.
Most printers will do every color but white. Thankfully, I didn't need white for that model.
A clear top coat locks the decals on.

Hutch, now that sounds like an offer I can't refuse -- Thanks! I'll be out of town this week, so I'll get in touch when I get back.

Target, where did you get the clear decal sheets? Thanks for this idea!

T-I like the decal paper too. If you need white, you have to print on the white decal paper....cut to size carefully and they produce good results. I tend to use the decal paper for smaller graphics and stencil/paint or hand cut vinyl for the bigger stuff. I use Major Decal sheets whenever they fit too. They are super EZ.

I got my sheets at the LHS. They are a Testors item, not really cheap as I recall.

Consider sneaking your AMA # in there somewhere in small print; I did that on the P-80, right under the side of the canopy, and it filled a needed space for detail...
And fullfills the requirement, not that anybody really cares.
