An experimenters delight
You made me do it;
LevJet canard (and thanks too, for the Ďplumb-bobí suggestion)
My Harrier follow on, air intake turn out quasi-experimental-canard
You nailed it, too much fun!
Area ratio is about 30%
I found no tractor examples (must be a reason )
Note first video hove attempt, too much elevator authority
With flaperon aft (my feeble attempt to counter torque) this should be an absolute blast
With 3c/350mA wing loading is less than 4oz
Duck pending maiden . . . too much wind

Three-day wind final dropped out
First true canard in more than 50 years RC modeling
Almost dark and I tell you what
All I can say is WOW!
A maiden without one crash
Three lipo packs wishing I had five
YES! VTO to the MAX (Tether test in basement? PRICELESS)
SLOW? At 4oz/sqft maybe the slowest model Iíve flown
Loops and rolls arenít too shabby either
Day two is always the best for me because
Iíve had all night to think about how the sticks felt
What needs changed and what to try tomorrow

I call it the Ah-Ha-plateau
Just hands-on searching for empirical gratification
Iím old school scratch build 24-7 wood and smelly glue, cover with tissue, plank or shrink wrap, paint and fuel proof to produce maybe two models a year
Experimenting was not practical
Couple years ago I discovered foam and hot glue
!!! E U R E K A !!!
An experimenters delight!
Build may take four hours then fly 20-7

Vid 2, hand launch after overnight adjustments
Other vids not VTO but attempts to hover at ground level
between third and half throttle to determine next step.
Suggestions most welcome
Premeditated VTOs at more than half throttle like a rocket, no panic, no problem
p.s. just discovered VanPutte On Canards
