Specs on Mine:

56" AJ Laser 230z Competition Scheme
Motrolfly 3615-470 on 6s (15mm standoffs)
Zippy 40c 6s 2200 & 1800
Castle Talon 90 @ 8v
(4) HS-5087's
Spektrum AR6200 & Sat
Vox 15x7 Prop
PA 2" Carbon Spinner
PA Extra MX Wing Bags

this setup yields 1164 watts @ 48.1A in a 4.25lb plane (6s 2200)

My build is going well. Only exception I have had is on the Elevator. The Stab Slot had a huge hump In the front 1/3 of the slot. I got that sorted and then the Elevator halves seem twisted on the right. I aligned the tail tips when epoxying the halves together and let the leading edges float as necessary. The right side leading edge is about 3/32" low compared to the stab. Hopefully it flies ok. If not Ill order another stab and Elevator halves and give it another go. Oh and on my elevator halves the left side had the cross brace installed, not the right as in the manual. Is this a manual error or a manuf issue?

Cant wait to maiden tomorrow or sunday!

All you should have to do is Heat Gun the Elevator Half a little on the side you need to level and Twist just past center a tad and hold, remove heat, hold while cooling. Doesn't take much and can try again if too much or not yet enough.

(Blue Tape the opposite Elevator Counter Balance to the Stab before doing this.)

I had the same problem with my ele halves. Heat gun tip from heritage worked great on mine.

Thanks Guys! I think this model specific thread will pay off on little issues like this. Less wading and more flying!

Maidened mine today with a Motrofly 3615-750, Talon 90, and HS-5087's, with a 4S-3300 on a 14x7 prop. Must say this was a real pleasure to build, and it flew great, other than it was a little quick for my skills. After a couple of minutes I was able to be smooth, but it looked pretty ugly there at first. For my next flight I will be moving the battery forward some more, which should get the CG all the way to 95mm from the leading edge. I can imagine what this plane would fly like with a good pilot. Great job Jesky's, and thanks.

Mine is setup for the 4315-480 on 6s 2200. My dad has it and I will get it back at SEFF. With the winter we are having, that might be my first chance to fly airplanes this year.

Still on the fence about a motor for my 56". Curious about the 2 Motrolfly 6S options. Guy at the field has the 3615 on 4S, flys great but could use a little more power. I'm leaning toward the 3615 6S so I can keep the rudder servo in the middle. Thanks.

I Love mine on 4s, MF 3620 750 though. 14x7 with anywhere between 2150-3600 mah. Monster power, super light. Only thing I would say is a must, would be the hs5087 at 7.4v-8.v everything else is interchangeable.
