It flew! It was brief though. It richened out on me, so I cut it off. The landing gear is very springy! Bounce of death! I did a spectacular Olympic gymnastic landing. LOL It was minor, but it'll live. I may clean it up and hang it now. Not sure. Here's a vid. It was only running 15% in it as well. A few racers were there. Scott Manning, Bill, Ralph DePalma and Lenny. Scott filmed the flight. My buddy Norman launch. Now I can say it flew...

I'll give you a 9.8!
Congrats on the maiden.....looks like it survived the landing pretty well and you definitely earned some style points. Thanks for sharing the video.

How is that radio setup for you? Is it a conventional 2 stick setup? Glad you were able to get it in the air after all these years

I give you Kudos Eric! Thanks for sharing! She had wind beneath her wings! Great attitude also! We have all experienced the "Bounce of death " at one time or another! Lol Glad to see she is in one piece! I have to admit i had my phone plugged in to my car stereo up loud and the landing sounded just awful. She really held up well! You built a good strong one there!

I have a feeling you will have her fixed up in no time! That's great it didn't even touch the tail! I have never flown a polecat, but I have a 426 plane that bounced no matter how smooth I landed it. Mike had me turn the gear around so that it placed them back a bit and now it is smooth as butter. I don't know if that would help your or maybe a cg change. Your approach wasn't bad, but the plane sure looked naturally bouncy.

Yeah, it was very smooth. The bounce just did it in. Wasn't even a hard bounce. I'll stiffen it up. It was still fun taking it out.
