It really is.

It is, although it takes some work from the flyer. It won't do it all by
itself.

No, it's not possible to do that. It's possible to adjus it to the point
where the machine will leave the ground in essentially a "not moving"
condition, but it won't stay there and if you want it to, you have to make
it (by using the control sticks)

No, and that's why helicopters are more of a challenge than a fixed wing
aeroplane or a 2 dimensional car or boat.
