Anyone know where I could get a new GWS 262 kit (don't care about motors etc) that doesn't cost more than the kit price to ship to the UK?

I just stoved mine into the ground, due to one motor speed changing.

'tis a bummer!

if you order no later than tomorrow, the kit is one third off, don't know their shipping to the UK though

http://www.miniplanes.fr/warbirds/me...i-p-45113.html

it says (in French) that it's the white kit, w/out motors etc.

PS: I ordered a kit myself (among other things), should arrive this week. In total it was 5 plane kits, shipping to Austria around 25 Euros. Just register and put it in your basket, then you'll know

cheers
Clemens

Norman, how much is the shipping? I have one, with motors, nib.

One catch, I'm leaving for six weeks so it'll have to wait.

Shipping from the US is about $53 for a $43 kit - and there is a good chance I'd then get caught with adding another 20% Customs + about 18 postage charge.

Dunno what the cost from Greenland would be - perhaps you could look it up suggest an overall cost to me. You'd have to mark it as a personal gift in order to minimise catching VAT etc, unless you are a company.

I don't need the motors if that'd reduce the cost.

I'm interested and can wait.

Hm, I was unclear. It's free. I'll send you the postal code for calculating costs. This one is unpainted. When my last one ingested a goose turd on takeoff, I thanked God.

Oh, and since its a Christmas gift from your Uncle Donk in the U.S., no VAT, right?

Still doing some testing with mine - 600watts and 56 amps at full blast.. then I backed it down for more normal flying :-) my speed controllers are only rated for 25 amp w/35 amp burst.
so I can get it up in a hurry..but damn this plane acts the part of a 80 mph+ jet.
