Motors with more power than Omega 103g and 130g??

Hi guys,

I love my Omega 103g and 130g motors, but some of my planes are on the heavy side and a bit more grunt would come handy.

All my setups are 3s and ideally I would like to keep it that way.

Which motors would be a noticeable upgrade?

Cheers!

Too many possibilities and also lack of requirements to really make a suggestion.

Are you already pushing the Omega motors to their max ?, have you tried different props ?, do you want more low end thrust or high end speed ?.

Alternatively, add more lightness to your planes

To be honest, I am not sure if the motors are 100% maxed out, but I am certainly following 3DHS's recommendations. For example: On my 47" Extra 300 SHP I am using the Omega 103g with APC 13x6.5E. The problem is that my Savox metal gear servos are considerably heaver than the HS-65 MG. What I am missing the most is awesome vertical performance.

Get a watt meter to see if your pushing your system. How old are your batteries? If they have some flights under theyre belt try picking up some new ones with higher C ratings. Of course make sure your prop is on correctly and the throttle range is set correctly.

13x6.5 is maxed out for the 103g motor. The 130g will perform better and can run up to 14x7.
