I`m in search for X Y coordinates for the RG 15A 2,5/13% airfoil.
Anyone out there with a link?

Here you go...the .dat file from Selig

Dave Smith

Hmmm, just realized that of course a .dat file is not "X-Y" in the usual sense, but you can use this with Compufoil or Profili (free) to generate what you need.

Well, I`m in the early stages of making the ASK 21 in half scale of the original..
I have just began making templates of the airfoils and have already measured out all the 42 sections for the fuselage.
In this moment I am making the outlines for the wings and will continue to do the same for the fuselage, seen from the side and from above.
Those will be handy then it comes to make the correct dimensions before conturing the fuselage. I know it`s alot of work..

Outlines of the fuselage is finished. A cd for comparison.

Root chord is 740 mm
Fuselage 4170 mm
Height of fuselage at cockpit 530 mm
Width 360 mm
Wingspan 8,5 M

Quite abit work done today.

The right place at the right time..
This car contains 200 kg of carbonfibre and 70 kg glass-cloth.
12K carbon means 12 km of fibre for each gram, incredible but true.
This means the load here reaches 24000000 km in one string, technically

All the templates for wing-cutting is ready, just not found the correct thickness and density yet. But soon.

Up-scaling this much is a challenge, so accuracy and patience is a must.
But becomes quite easy as soon as the code is cracked, getting in the flow so to say.
The essence is the calculated constant that remains the same in every dot placed at the paper. Those marks makes the outlines to the curves for the finished plans.

I got the original drawings from Schleicher. Maybe it was because I explained the project, don`t know..
But can`t forward them anyway, as this was strictly for personal use on this project, and those are not digital as you can see.
So it`s not a "freeware", respecting their property..

Anyway, going from "software to hardware" now. The part I really look forward to.
This part of the hobby is at least half of it, for me.

Styrofoam going manually, starting tomorrow.
