Help!
Do you recognize this A-26 ARF???

This is a ARF A-26 that was given to a museum for static display. They replaced it with a larger model and i have acquired it to restore and make flyable if possible.

I don't know who made this but I need to find out if replacement engine nacelles are available. They are ABS plastic. The engine cowls are fiberglass and in great shape but the ABS plastic as usual has cracked and broken.

I also need to know what engines it was designed to use and if I can put 4 strokes on it. Should sound pretty good with 2 four stokers!

Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.

If memory serves, it seemed like 30-40ish. Might drop VQ an email. I'm sure they've got to have info on it, even if it was several years ago.

How well does it fly on 2 40s?

I was thinking 2 four stroke 46s with 3 blade props. What do you guys think?

Did they make retracts and cock pit kits for this model?

Thanks for the info guys.

Just saw the new version at a hobby shop today. Looks like the same engine nacelles so I might be able to get them.

If that's the one the Collings Foundation had, I was guilty of giving it to them. It is a VK. I had a black one decorated exactly like the one I flew in Korea powered by pair of Thundertiger 36's. The 36's were more than adequate. My sone has the plane now and is gonna restore it to flight status again. BTW that plane you have is 10 years old!

I have the Black version for sale. It has a pair of O.S. 40s and spring air retracts. and a mix of servos. The A-26 has only seen the air one time and has been hanging in the grage ever sence. I live south of Houston if there is any takers. We also have a bunch of gas powered air planes as well.
