ouch, thats hots. I'd like the canopy just a little slimmer, but other than that...
Maybe retracts too, forward rotating retracts, that'd be hot. What do guys think... 80mph?

I remember plans for an .049 powered version with no landing gear. People would do slide-n-goes with them on short grass.

I saw the model too at the Expo this weekend. I Love the design. I bought the plans for the .049 version and never got around to building it. It turns out that it was a actually a full scale plane called the fan trainer.

I Asked about the model at the show. It will cost 139.00 US. as a arf and includes the fan unit and outrunner brushless motor. It will be avalible in roughly 2 months. The modle is from "The World Models Manufacturing Co." their web site is www.theworldmodels.com. It's on page 084 of their 2008 print catalouge. I'm putting in a order for mine as soon as it's avalible.

The modle looked pretty nice. It is all wood construction. The fuse wood was clearly all laser cut. It has a 2 piece wing joined through the fuse with a wing tube and a rubberband in the fuse. The canopy is held on with a really nice spring loaded catch. It has a steerable nose wheel and fixed main gear. looks like all hardware is included. you just need to supply a radio, esc and battery.

It's called the UniJet.
36" span
225 sq" wing.
28 oz. flying weight.
32.5" fuse length.
4 chanel control w/ 4 micro servos
1 throttle
2 aileron
3 rudder
4 elevator
includes a 30A brushless outrunner motor and fan unit KM0283110
has a steerable nose gear.

The rep was really excited about it.

The fuse right behind the fan, does it look like its being held together by zipties? Look at the PDF.... Maybe for quick assembly or disassembly?
