Anyone ever hear of the eta models a7?

Hello all,
I was at the lebanon flea market and picked up an "ETA Models" A7 Corsair. It's huge and apparently uses a byron fan. Does anyone know anything about this plane? Has it ever flown?
Thank you all
mike

Did a string search (using quotes and minus's for words that kept showing up with ETA) nothing comes up so far that's even near exclusive.

What's the length of the model?

Regards

eta did a Scorpion model as well, but the a-7 was even less known than that.

yes I sold it. been over a year. I remember seeing they had an a-7 listed on the manual/catalog.

a plane that you have to love, to appreciate its looks .

I sure it flew great with all that wing though.

You remember how big it was?

Was it over 90" long?

This is a massive plane!!!

thank you all for helping me. Pictures are coming. The wing span is approximately 62 inches and the fuselage length is roughly 72 inches. The minimal barely legible plan sheet that came with it clearly shows a Byron fan and tuned pipe arrangement.
thanks,
mike

Eta a7

no carbon fiber. I think the jet kit is all old school. Someone started the build and added the carbon fiber. The formers are all ply. It feels, smells and looks about 30 years old.
I can't thank you all enough. I love these old jets. I hope to have time to work on it sometime soon

In the stress areas is the carbon fiber pretty solid?

I'm thinking of using CF in a lay up and want to know if it's worth it

thx in advance

Eta a7

Where the full flying stab is attached to the fuselage, there is carbon fiber but to be honest, it's really not secure enough with lots of play. To be fair to the original builder, I don't think the aft section of the fuselage was fully completed. I need to see if a former belongs there which will fix the problem. I don't in any way pretend to be a skilled builder however. I'd take my advice with a grain of salt. Whoever did start the build definitely knew what they were doing.
