FPV Rafale

Hi guys,

This is my favorite FPV platform. It's a Depron scratchbuild designed by Stephan Pinson and an exellent build thread can be found here by my buddy kronikpilot http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ighlight=rafal
This is a 28" w/s AUW 17oz. I use 1050mah's and get 8 minute flights. Gear is basic 200mw 5.8ghz with IBCrazy SPW and cloverleaf antennas (thank you Alex). Control is 2.4ghz with satellite rx which is good enough for where we fly. We stay within 750 meters usually. It tracks very well, quick rolls, and tight loops. This frame is probably 10 months old, and has been pulled from 3 trees, and taken home in a bag of pieces many times. Usually the nose is the main damage and is is currently sporting a brand new front end from the main wing forward. If you look close, you can see many patches.

Latest addition to the fpv fleet

Here is my Mini Skywalker. Unbelieveable image from the tiny camera. Got it really trimmed out and it flies like trainer. 150mw transmitter on 1280, at the local rc field with all sorts of 2.4 traffic we were out at least a quarter mile with no video issues. No OSD like my others, just fly by the seat of your pants.

I can get 10 minutes from a 3S 5000mah pack, I could carry 2 packs, I dont think it would double the flight time though.

You need to make your images bigger. They are too small to really see anything. Looks like a nice plane though.
