ImmersionRC Manta vs IBCrazy Banshee. FAST FPV RACERS!!!!

Seems like smaller and close range VERY FAST FPV Plane circuit racing maybe joining the mini Quad racing too! (or atleast simulating)
Both are in the wingspan of 36 inches.

Banshee (smaller version of the Spector)

ImmersionRC Manta Race WING.

Here are the videos online I've see soo far.

I went with the banshee for a small speed/obstacle plane! Seems maneuverable and with small props, can pick up some serious speed!

Here's mine during the build next to my VAS Chimera.

Thanks for your post DaaBears....
Is it true that that Bashee can (rated up to) go 100mph+.
I see that it is (design to be) very stiff and very strong with minimal flexing
from Alex's video(s)....

Hope more users post more vids here on RcGroups.com on this great potential fun fast FPV stout plane!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, right now I have it propped for max wattage on 3s. I'll have over 1:1 thrust to with an approx. max speed of 75mph. If I drop my prop down I'll have a bit less thrust, but should clock over 100. After the spars and laminating were done, you can tell this is a very strong and stiff bird. Someone posted a great video that shows the banshee very low to the ground at very high speeds. It looked nice and stable yet maneuverable. I'm excited to get this up in the air. The build was a breeze.

DaaBears,
any chance you can make Two Planes PNP (Rx Ready) IBcrazy Banshee's?
I need one for me and my retired neighbor. He recently lost his wife and
he once was excited about RC FPV'ing, now seems quiet and depressed.

Looking for someone to build me one (two at most Rx Ready)....

I posted on the Want-Ads' also....
thanks

That banshee must be wild with a MicroDAN motors'.
Probably will need a aluminum motor mount.

I wish I could help you out. My work hours are too crazy. This build only took about 6 hours, but I had to do it over a span of almost two weeks. It's a very straightforward build. The only time consuming parts are letting glue dry and setting up the fpv electronics.

Good luck, hopefully you'll find someone to help out!

I will say, I crashed the hell out of the banshee 3 times already and have not had any damage! I love it! This sucker just bounced off the ground. I expected something to be broken, but so far, not a thing has broken, cracked, chipped, or torn!

Thinking about buying one of these or a Spark v2.0...do you have any experience w/ the Spark and if so, which would you choose?

Thanks

LexusFPV,
StoneBlue Airlines sells and custom builds these planes if you are interested. I don't work for them, but I've interacted a little and they are a high quality, classy outfit.

Go to http://www.stoneblueairlines.com/han...anshee-36.html

and select the "Custom Shop" dropdown.

Hope that helps.

JT

Ya Jeremiah and matt(?) are good people and do some amazing builds. They would be the one to go to, pricey but the quality of work is very good. I am sure they would be more than happy to help your neighbor out. Anything to get him out and about will help im sure.

The banshee seems cool so far, and very durable. I wouldn't recommend to beginners as the high speeds and handling of this bird is not for beginners.

The spark was designed as a trainer. While also very durable, version 1 was heavily modified by those out there who wanted powerful motors and ailerons. This caused certain v1 owners to experience some weird behaviors that weren't tested out before its release.

V2 is supposed to have those features for pilots who really wanted a performance machine not a trainer. We'll see what Alex has been able to do this round.

I am excited to see v2, but I can't say I prefer one over the other until we see it! But based on what's out there, I went with the banshee because I saw awesome videos of high speed tree dodging and I had to have it.

Hey all,
and new information on the MANTA?
all the forums (threads) are on the vortex, and lots
of people are having trouble with that....

ImmersionRC should make it easy on themselves and start
selling the MANTA plane.....looks easy to get it flying.
