3m 'E' Aerobatic glider
I am primarily a "low to the ground" aerobatic flyer, what is commonly referred to as VTPR style, not to be confused for 3D acro. We do this on slopes with ease but Im now exploring the idea of performing low aerobatics at the park. Two reasons, 1) I dont see this being done yet and, 2) im getting too old to be hiking up to the slopes anymore.
If you surf through my blog and website you will see where we are coming from in this style.
Looking for a 3 meter lightweight electric to where i can modify the ailerons to suit big throws at low speeds and the airframe be of low mass inertia and durable. We hit the ground often so its necessary to have a fairly durable model. I would prefer a semi symmetrical airfoil for good inverted flight as we are in that position 50% of the flight.
My thoughts are the motor will operate mostly at 50% through the maneuvers and it wont see anymore than say 100ft elevation just to zoom into the low zone un-powered where all the action occurs.
Any suggestions for this new and different application are welcome.
